BIRTHDAY BOY
Our first grandchild is NINE YEARS old today! So hard to believe. The joy he brings to our lives is awesome. He's such a blessing.

What a beautiful baby Brant was! There is something about that third painting that I love. I also love the one where he is reading to the little ones. What a great boy he seems! Happy Birthday, Brant!!
Sandy, is there anything you cannot do? These portraits brought an actual "gasp" from me when I opened your blog this morning. I have tried watercolor portraits and it is an amazing skill to be able to do this. I am wowed again. You rock, Sandy. Lucky boy to have these loving portraits from his grandmother!

I've never met your grandson Sandy, but sure feel I have after viewing these superb portraits as he grew up. Love them all but somehow the group of children on the bench has such a wonderful narative it has to be my favourite.

Thanks so much for allthe comments. Brant was tickled that his birthday was so special and enjoyed reading all the comments. As a side note, he met Michael Phelps and even got his autograph. Pretty special birthday week.
