Here's a painting from over a decade ago that was lots of fun to paint. Colors were introduced randomly to the otherwise golden corn shocks to add visual interest to them. A friend purchased this because her husband had grown up in a town that manufactured barbed wire. I have vivid childhood memories, too, of climbing over the barbed wire fence behind our house, and I rarely got snagged by it.
Hope many of you in the northern hemisphere are enjoying a beautiful autumn like we are. It's been gloriously colorful with great weather to enhance the colors, very inspiring for an artist.
