Several years ago, Loraine traveled to Holland, which she absolutely loved. She looks very Dutch herself, has been an art teacher, and I'm thankful that she shared her photo with me of this beautiful place.This OLDIE is a little more recent than the last several posts and treated fairly traditionally in the way it is painted. I liked the stillness in the pix.

I remember us doing this one in class - mine doesn't look anything like this! ha ha
Just love it. Reminds me of the time our son took us to Amsterdam from his home in Luxembourg for a few days. Clive and I took the bus out to the Zieder Zee (not sure of spelling but sounds like that) and we saw the few windmills that survived after the war they had collected from around the country and placed together with a restructured 'old' village with wonderful buildings. Makes me feel I want to dig out the photos I took.
I like the stillness of the painting as well. The darks of the windmill with its reflection in the water is beautiful.
Dont understand this _ I sent a long comment the other day about your Dutch oldie and my visit to Holland. Did you get it or havent you approved it yet??
